Privacy Policy & DPDP Compliance

Rishi ("the App") is developed by Data Druid Software and Services. We are committed to protecting your privacy in compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Rishi is designed with privacy at its core. The App runs AI models entirely on your device.

• Conversations: All chat conversations with Rishi happen on-device and are never sent to any server.
• App Preferences: Language selection, theme, and model preferences are stored locally on your device.
• Feedback: If you choose to send feedback, only the rating category and optional text are sent. No conversation content is included unless you explicitly provide it.
• Analytics: We may collect anonymous crash reports and usage analytics to improve app stability. No personal data is included.

On-Device AI Processing

Rishi uses Small Language Models (SLMs) that run entirely on your phone. Your questions and conversations never leave your device. No internet connection is required for AI conversations. This is a fundamental design choice — your spiritual journey is private.

Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third party.

• Advertisements: The App uses Google AdMob which may collect device identifiers for ad personalization. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.
• Model Downloads: When downloading AI models, your device connects to our secure servers to fetch model files. Only standard HTTP request data (IP address, device type) is processed for this purpose.

Authentication

If you sign in via phone number, it is collected solely for OTP authentication. If you sign in via Google, only your name and email are stored. Authentication data is stored securely and never shared with third parties. You can delete your account and all associated data anytime from Settings.

Your Rights Under DPDP Act

As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act, 2023, you have the right to:

• Access: Request information about what personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data. Since most data is stored locally, you can delete all data by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.
• Grievance Redressal: Contact our Data Protection Officer for any privacy concerns.
• Nominate: Nominate another person to exercise your rights on your behalf.

Data Retention

All conversation data is stored locally on your device and auto-deleted after 24 hours (DPDP compliance). Server-side feedback data is retained for 7 days after processing, then permanently deleted. Clearing app data or uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored data.

Children's Privacy

Rishi is a general-purpose spiritual guide suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us immediately.
